Compassion and Understanding

All it takes is just a little compassion and understanding...when dealing with just about anything. Problems can sometimes be overwhelming even for the most together of persons. But when the people around you ban together and help you, it truly is all about having compassion and understanding.

When a person is ill, under the weather, feeling low, at a crossroads or any of a million other things, when he/she is shown a little bit of compassion and understanding, the feelings of despair or otherwise somehow seem to lessen, even if only for awhile.

Helping out someone in need is always the right thing to do. If you have a friend or family member, offer a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen as sometimes that is all they want. If they need more and you can help, do so freely and without reservation. It will help make them feel better and you might just feel better too.

Difficult Decisions Brings Change

Life sometimes throws you curves and it is how we react to them that shapes our lives. For me, those curves have been coming fast and furious.

I feel as if some difficult decisions are going to be made. It's not as if I didn't know they were coming...as they have been simmering on the back burner for some time.
My life has been on hold for the last four years. I'm tired of waiting and now is the time to make changes. Change can be a good thing.

It was brought to my attention that I shouldn't let what others are going to think or say stop me from missing out on a real opportunity. I know he's right...he usually is.

What is the worst that could happen? Another curve ball, making another decision and withstanding another change. Not really the end of the world.

So stand up and embrace those decisions and welcome the changes. Today is a new day!

Spring Cleaning...

The rains have stopped now. The birds are chirping, the flowers are starting to bud. I guess it is time for a bit of spring cleaning. That is the story in my world. We carry around so much stuff but do we really need it all? Probably not. My philosophy is if you haven't used it, worn it or looked at it in a year, then it is probably time for it to go.

When you have a tiny home, you can't have much...or so you'd think. I continue to marvel at how much I have stuffed into this tiny two pound box!

My spring cleaning has rubbed off on the other member of my family who lives here. My husband finally got into the mood and did a little spring cleaning too!

Now that the weekend is over...I feel good that I accomplished a little something. Although there is still a ways to go...even doing just a little bit makes a difference.

Until later,
