Happy New Year - Welcome 2015

As I sit here this morning reflecting on the last year and welcoming 2015, I realize how many positive things have come my way, especially towards the end of 2014. While I may have started out the year down, I ended the year on an up note. More news on that to come!

For me, 2014 brought me many lessons to learn.  I'd like to share a few of those with you.

Things never stay the same. Life is about change and once you embrace it, the world is your oyster. But with change comes choice, and sometimes those choices are hard. While you may want to second guess yourself, you must always trust your gut because it will never fail you.

Sometimes you have to give up a few things in order to make a dream happen. When one part of your life takes off, the other parts slow down. It makes sense when you have too many "irons in the fire" that one or more need to be removed and cool off for awhile. Don't be afraid to let them sit there because the time to pick them up will come back around again.

You cannot be all things to all people. The only person you can be is yourself. Which means, you need to care of yourself so that you will be around for a long time to come. Your health is the only thing that you can control. When it goes south, it is a long road to back. I am on that journey now.

I have made great strides this past year to turning a few aspects of my life around. While it did come with a few sacrifices, I feel better about where I am at with my life. 2014 was a milestone year for me and I want 2015 to be a year of moving forward and taking charge. I am tired of being afraid of everything and will do more than just sit around waiting for things to happen.

So my wish for all you, is to look at 2015 as the year to take charge! Whatever aspect of your life you want to turn around, use this new year to make it happen.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year's Day and remember, Take Charge!

  1. Spending a quiet day of reflection I've realised that I want to believe in myself again. My abilities. My strengths. Even my weaknesses can make stronger if I can recognise and accept them.
Thank you for this inspirational post and best wishes for 2015!

  2. Happy New Year, Susan. I absolutely agree about the fact that one cannot be all things to all people. The sooner we realize that, the happier we can be!
