BlogFEST 2012 - Shadowland

 I stand behind him,
but he doesn't see me.
He might hear something,
but he thinks it's the wind.

 I live in the Shadowland,
silently waiting to escape.
Watching him from inside
hoping to be with him outside.

He's knows I am here somewhere
and has searched for me for years.
He just needs to find the key
to unlock the Shadowland.

I need to reach him desperately,
 must send him more clues.
But only thru his dreams
because that is when he is closest.

For now I live unseen,
my voice remains unheard.
Locked oh so far away
deep within the Shadowland.

But not for long...

Wishing you moments to escape from the shadows,

  3. Susan, this is really disturbing and creepy! And that picture sends chills down my spine. Yikes! I probably won't sleep tonight, which you should consider a mark of success. :-)

    1. Yes, Daphne! I went for the macabre. Not usually my normal fair...so I had to try. The picture is pretty cool...I just happened to stumble upon that on the site I use to get some of my pictures (www.photoxpress.com)for my other writing. Believe it or not, but I was inspired by a Disney Channel movie for this one!

  6. Wow, nice poem Susan. I like the picture it painted. You penned these lines well especially: "Watching him from inside/ hoping to be with him outside."
