Sometimes your words need to be expressed in other ways. This is one of those times.
I am a strong, capable woman. I consider myself really lucky because I have a good man who is supportive, loving and caring. He would never raise a hand to me. I know that there are other women out there not as lucky. Please...break the cycle, and don't be afraid to call. There are people that can help.

Very significant. I feel someone will see this just in time. That's why you needed to do it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo. I literally was in the middle of writing something completely different and my inner voice told me to "stop". Then, I was drawn to find this video. Whenever this happens, I just go with it because I really believe in destiny.
ReplyDeleteWhat a powerful post!! The song has a great message!! I'm sure that one person will watch this and read your words...and break the cycle!! Love it! Jenn.
ReplyDeleteWow, Susan, that was amazing. Three different women who I'm very close to have been the victims of horrible domestic abuse, so this hits close to my heart. I hope your post reaches someone who needs to see it and I'm so glad that you followed your instincts and posted this.
ReplyDeleteOne of my short stories that won a competition last year is about an abused wife. It'll be included in an upcoming multi-authored book.
Great decision. It's always best to follow your instincts. I wrote two completely different posts for this blog hop too, but the first one just didn't quite feel right. :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent post. I am glad that you decided to follow your instincts and do this post in this way. This hits close to home as I like to help the homeless and those in domestic abuse situations find shelter in a safe place. I know that this post will touch many as it relays a message of hope to all whom have been a victim.
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad that some kids grow up in this atmosphere.

Wonderful message here, bravo.
ReplyDeleteVery powerful, Susan. It's terrible when there is abuse in a home - whether physical, verbal or mental. It must be awful!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this. I'll also share on my Twitter page.
